PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME
I’m honored to join the SKY Elementary School community as Principal and
look forward to working closely with our students, families, and staff to create
a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
With 14 years of experience in education – as a classroom teacher, academic
adviser, vice-principal, and principal – I’ve developed a deep commitment to
nurturing both academic excellence and student well-being. I hold a Master
of Education in Leadership and Administration, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling Psychology to better support the social and emotional needs of our students.
I believe that every child is unique, and that success looks different for each
student. At SKY Elementary, my goal is to foster an inclusive and caring school
culture where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow. I am
excited to partner with families and our dedicated staff to help students build
confidence, discover their strengths, and reach their full potential.

Welcome to SKY Elementary School!
As both a parent and educator, I know how important it is to find a school where your child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. SKY Elementary was born from that very search – a desire to create a Kindergarten experience where every child is truly seen and nurtured.
At SKY, we focus on small class sizes, strong relationships, and a joyful approach to learning that supports the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally. From day one, our goal is to build trust, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Mr. Lauson is a senior partner at Lauson & Associates Inc., a Vancouver-based
educational consulting firm. With over 43 years of experience in both British
Columbia and international private education, and 14 years as President of
the Federation of Independent School Associations – representing more than
350 schools – he brings a wealth of expertise to SKY Elementary School. His
support helps ensure the delivery of outstanding education to our students.

* SKY Elementary School is currently undergoing the certification process with the Ministry of Education and Child Care. While it is not yet certified, the school is actively working toward meeting all requirements and anticipates receiving certification in time for a planned opening in September 2026. Please note that we will not be accepting registrations until the school receives certification.
